There was a lovely conjunction visible from south eastern Melbourne, Australia, this morning, with the waning moon just below Venus, in the clear winter dawn sky at around 6.30 am. Some consolation for having missed totality on July 22nd from the Qiantang River Bore in China.

So sorry you missed totality this time! Venus/Moon conjunctions are also favourite sky events. Thanks for visiting.
